Brian and Brooke founded Monarch Design Build in 2005. It has grown into a full service design + build architecture firm. Scope of work include residential and commercial projects. Monarch’s strength come from the depth of diversity our team members encompass, including experience both locally and internationally.

Brian is  a California Licensed General Contractor with over 18 years of experience in the design and construction industry. He has been a local business owner for over 8 years and in that time has both designed, built and renovated numerous successful residential homes.

Brian’s ability to conceptualize complex design with the necessary detailing required for construction is an invaluable asset to Monarch’s ability to complete a successful project. Brian was raised in South Lake Tahoe and strives to create positive relationships with local agencies, contractors and design professionals.


In his off time he enjoys spending time with his two young daughters, biking, skiing and enjoying the outdoors. 

Brooke was born and raised in South Lake Tahoe. She was a member of the U.S. Ski Team and traveled the world cup circuit for five years. This experience gave her the unique opportunity to see and experience the worlds premier mountain and ski towns architecture. 

 

 She holds a Bachelors of Architecture with an emphasis on sustainable environments from California Polytechnic University San Luis Obispo. She is a LEED Accredited professional, holds an NCARB certificate and is a Licensed California and Nevada Architect.


Key firms she has worked for include HOK Architecture , Allione and Associates, Ben Fagan Designs  and Ward Young Architects.

 

For over ten years Brooke has been completing projects in Lake Tahoe and the surrounding regions, she has an extensive working knowledge of the various agencies within the basin. She has worked on the design of numerous homes in Lahontan, Martis Camp, Grey's Crossing and lake front properties.
